It’s that time of year again, the christmas countdown begins and our thoughts turn to trees, fairy lights and Christmas Wreaths.

At the Northern Flower Garden, this is probably one of our busiest times of the year and our favourite. We take time and pride over our Christmas Wreaths to give our customers that WOW factor for their Christmas front door.

So, what can you expect from a Christmas Wreath from The Northern Flower Garden?

• All our fresh Christmas Wreaths are constructed on a generous bed of moss. We simply don’t make any wreaths without a mossed frame. This is the water source for your wreath and will keep it lasting and fresh for much longer than a wreath made on a bare frame. A mossed frame also gives your wreath weight which will limit it bouncing off your door in blustery winter weather.

• Our wreaths are designed to last. They are made by fully qualified florists using tried and tested techniqiues and mechanics to give you a robust product which can last well into the New Year, if looked after and kept well watered.

• We always use a minimum of three types of winter foliage in our Christmas Wreaths. This would normally be spruce, cypress and one other. Our favourites are Ivy, Sussex Silver and Eucalyptus. The benefits of using multiple foliage is that it introduces multiple textures to a wreath, making it look gorgeous and luxurious.

• All our fresh mossed wreaths are backed. This does two things, firstly it keeps the moss in the wreath, which keeps your doorstep nice and tidy and secondly, it protects your door from any wiring within the wreath, preventing any scratches.

• Each year we offer a selection of designs to choose from and these can be found in our shop. Some are new introductions and others are old favourites. What we try to do is offer a balance of different styles to give you the best choice.

• Our studios are based in Whitburn, Sunderland and Great Park, Newcastle and we offer a friendly collection service for free from either of these locations. We also offer a delivery service to both the Newcastle and Sunderland areas if this is easier for you.
